A new start.

I have neglected this for far too long. A year has passed, since I updated. My babies have changed so much and neither of them are really babies anymore. Life has changed so much! There will be a blog resurrection, very soon. I'll just leave you with a few pictures of recent times.

Recently We...

...let Mommy get her hair cut! I love it.

...played with glasses, at Target!

...saw this crazy car at the park.

...cuddled in bed. My favorite.

...played with friends!

...started putting AJ in the saucer toy. He thinks he's the coolest.

...went out on our first kid-free date since Aiden was born! It was awesome.

...made "color soup" which is just water and food coloring. Olivia thinks its the best and it's a fun activity for when I need her to sit and be calm.

...took a family walk. It's one of my favorite things, ever.

Recently We...

...started trying to eat healthier.

 (Olivia doesn't seem to mind.)

...played instruments!

...went to the doctor for Aiden's 4 month check-up! This kid weighs over 17 lbs already!

...had A LOT of cuddles. Cuddles are the best. Especially when your babies have a little cold.

 (Haha! This is one of those great, priceless moments.)

Our little Finch babies got a cold. Liv got it first, and gave it to her brother. She's good at sharing! ;) We've gone through a lot of tissues and boogie wipes, over here. I'm looking forward to sandals, shorts, and SUMMER! I'm definitely a warm weather person. It is warming up here. It's been near 70, which is so nice. Despite the runny noses, and lingering cough, we've still managed to get out and enjoy the mild weather. It definitely keeps us all sane, to be able to get out and spend some time in fresh air. Hopefully soon, we will have our own home, with our own backyard, and our own, normal colored carpet. (Normally, I wouldn't say anything about the carpet here, but I'm getting sick of seeing it in all our pictures. Haha. My mother-in-law and I have very different ideas, when it comes to color and decorating.)

Best Friends

These two can't get enough of each other. Olivia loves her brother so much, she always wants him to be awake and playing with her. So much, that she runs up to him and squeals "DAA!!!" to wake him up. Uh-oh. Haha. Aiden smiles and giggles for Olivia. He gets very excited when she runs and dances around.

I've decided to start posting more pictures of our every day lives. I take tons of pictures with my phone and I'd love to share them. This is the first "Recently we..." post, but definitely not the last!

I'm hoping to make this a weekly post. I'm trying to be better at posting things more frequently. I also want to start posting family pictures, regularly. We never take pictures of all 4 of us!

Pack up and go.

Today has been "one of those days." I texted a friend, "Today makes me want to stab my eye with a freshly sharpened number 2 pencil." I felt awful. Not sick. No, it's my brother-in-law who is sick. Not tired. I got plenty of sleep. Just awful. Everything seemed to stress me out much more than it should have. It was one of those days where everyone got on my nerves and I just wanted to grab my man, pack up my kids, and drive away. Far, far away. Somewhere warm and cozy.

Tomorrow will be better. I'm going to make sure it's a better day.

A little on the late side.

My sweet Olivia Jane is 2 now. She turned 2 on October 26. She's such a smart little girl. She can count to 12 all by herself and she's working in her "BBCs" (ABCs) They sounds a little something like this..."E B C D E...O P...X Y ZEEEEEE!" It's getting there. I'm very proud of her. She's turning into an excellent big sister. She showers her brother with hundreds of kisses, every day. She brings him his pacifier and she likes to remind him of what he eats by getting in his face and saying "milk milk milk milk..." She's incredibly active and needs to have a lot of activities to do throughout the day. Otherwise, she starts to do naughty things. Haha. She's sweet and sensitive. She likes Yo Gabba Gabba and The Fresh Beat Band. She loves to dance to any and all music. She loves to eat beans, crackers, waffles, and anything with cheese. Coloring and making art are her favorite things to do! She challenges me to be a better mom and I love her more and more every day.

Here are a few pictures from our small, family birthday party. I made her cake just as she asked. Chocolate with blue and purple frosting. There's a layer of red frosting on the inside. I think she liked it!
