Time is flying

Today is my baby girl's first birthday. How is this possible? Wasn't she just born a few weeks ago? These questions have been running through my mind for a few days now.

We had Liv's party on saturday. It was sweet. We just had family and a couple friends. It was small, intimate, and relaxed. Not too stressful for me. Haha. Olivia had a blast opening presents and eating cake. She REALLY liked her cake. It was pretty much the sweetest and funniest thing I've seen in a long time. We also watched a little mini-movie I put together. It makes me teary-eyed every time I watch it.

My baby is one. As I'm typing this, the minute of her birth has just passed. Exactly one year ago, I was holding her for the first time. I was seeing her beautiful face for the very first time. I was thinking "you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." She still is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I'm watching her sit and play right now. She has a little monkey that she is holding by the tail, and a book. She loves to "read" her books, and carry them around. She is amazing. Every day she learns something new. Time is just flying by. It really makes me want to cherish every moment. I don't want to miss a single second of her growing up.

Here is the video I made, to commemorate Olivia's special birthday.

footnote: The song playing in the video is "Love and Some Verses" by Iron and Wine. Also, I will post pictures of the party very soon.

Baby Fever

Today, Lauren and I are going to Denton to visit with her brother, Justin, his wife, Kelsey, and their brand new baby boy, Grayson!! I am so excited to see them and meet little Grayson. He is so adorable, and from the 2-3 pictures I've seen so far, looks just like his pretty mama! Olivia can't wait to meet him either, but she has to wait until he's a little older. I told Lauren that babies are germ factories and I didn't want Olivia to contaminate the little guy. Hahaha.

The only bad thing about going to visit a new baby...
I can feel my uterus calling to me. "Baby...Baby...Baby!!!"
I HAVE THE WORST BABY FEVER!!
Lately, it's like every baby I see gives me this twinge in my heart. I can't wait to have more babies! Olivia isn't even one and I'm already thinking about when would be a good time for us to start trying again. Haha. I can't help it. I'm a baby lover and I want a big family. Good thing I got started kind of young.

Olivia was a good newborn. So cuddly and sweet. Here she is, just 4 days old. This remains one of my favorite pictures of her.

It is, absolutely, her fault that I want more babies already. Look at that face! How could I not want more???

Olivia Jane

Olivia is going to be 11 months old in 3 days. She is getting so big. She loves to walk around and explore. She points at everything she thinks is interesting, or anything she wants. She loves to eat. Olivia has never turned down any kind of food. Ever. She only wants to play with things that aren't toys, like remotes, cell phones, laptops, my art supplies, playstation remotes, and magazines. Haha. I love this little girl so much. She is growing up so fast. I wish I could slow down time! Here are a few, recent pictures of my beautiful baby girl!

Future rockstar?
She is such a happy girl.
